Approximately 500 motorcyclists served as escorts on Tuesday
afternoon as a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall passed
through Greeneville on its way to Johnson City. Citizens and
well-wishers lined the route along both sides of Andrew Johnson
Highway, holding American flags, waving and displaying placards and
banners showing their respect. This photo shows a Greeneville fire
truck, at left, with Old Glory displayed from atop its extended ladder
at the moment the truck carrying the Wall replica passes.
