County School System's Annual Personnel Reception

Published: 11:37 AM, 05/14/2009

Yhona Jones, principal of Mosheim Elementary and Middle School, on Tuesday received the Greene County Partnership's "Outstanding Service to Students" award.

The award presentation, which was made by Randy Harrell, the Partnership's president, came during the county school system's annual personnel reception at Chuckey-Doak High School.

Also during the reception, the county school system honored 10 retiring teachers and administrators and five retiring non-teaching employees for their many years of service.

In addition, building-level, system-level and regional winners in the state "Teacher of the Year" competition were recognized by Dr. Joe Parkins, director of the county school system, and Kathy Crawford, chairman of the Greene County Board of Education.
