The Greene County Elementary League Basketball Tournament will begin Saturday at North Greene High School's gymnasium.

The Nolachuckey Lady Blazers and the Baileyton boys are the top seeds for the event.

Action will start Saturday with six games on the agenda, starting at 12 noon when Ottway takes on Glenwood in girls' play. The Ottway and Camp Creek boys will play at 1:15.

At 2:30, the DeBusk girls take on West Pines, followed at 3:45 by the Nolachuckey boys facing Glenwood. The 5 p.m. girls game has No. 2 seed Baileyton playing McDonald, and the final game of the day at 6:15 is a boys matchup with No. 2 seed West Pines taking on McDonald.

Action will resume on Monday night at 4:30 with the Nolachuckey girls in action vs. the Ottway/Glenwood winner, followed at 5:45 by the Baileyton boys taking on the Ottway/Camp Creek winner. The 7 p.m. girls game is Camp Creek vs. Mosheim, followed at 8:15 with a boys tilt with DeBusk taking on Mosheim.

Tournament semifinals are Thursday night, with the consolation and finals set for Friday, Feb. 12.

Coach James Buchanan of North Greene will serve as tournament director.
