E. Lyndon Gallimore, a Greene County resident, has been appointed Takoma Regional Hospital's director of marketing and business development.
Daniel Wolcott, Takoma Hospital's president and CEO, said, "I am excited to welcome Lyndon to the Takoma family. He brings a strong and successful background in both marketing and business, and will use his expertise to help us grow our hospital."
Gallimore began working at the hospital this week.
He previously was a Realtor with Century 21 and owner of Mountain View Homes and Development on the U.S. 11-E Bypass.
Gallimore received a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing at the University of Central Florida.
He was a Realtor with Orlando's largest independent real estate firm, and became one of the top 10 agents within the firm.
Gallimore later was an owner of a large custom home-building company in Orlando, where he concentrated on sales and marketing.
For the past 11 years, Gallimore has developed residential communities, built homes and sold real estate in the Greeneville and Johnson City areas.
He has served on the Greene County Partnership as a board member, and currently serves on the Partnership's tourism board and its subcommittee.
"I am thrilled to be joining a quality organization dedicated to extending the healing ministry of Christ," Gallimore said. "I am honored to have this opportunity to promote Takoma as a great place to work, practice medicine and receive quality medical care."
Gallimore and his wife, Evonne Gallimore, a registered nurse, have three children and one grandson.
