'Crockett Christmas' Set For Dec. 12 At State Park

Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park will present its annual "Crockett Christmas" program on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The annual event celebrates the spirit of Christmas on the frontier.
The birthplace cabin will be decorated in pioneer Christmas spirit.
A candlelit pathway will light the way to the cabin where historical interpreters will greet greet guests and invite them inside by the fireplace.
Traditional hot wassail will be served to drink and edibles will be available for sampling. Traditional music and storytelling will be available for guests to enjoy.
There will also be a warm campfire outside the cabin to sit and enjoy your wassail while enjoying good conversation and social time with the community.
The public is welcome to come by to experience this Christmas on the frontier fun.
The event is free, but donations will be accepted.
The event will be held from 2 to 9 p.m.
