Greeneville police are investigating a burglary and theft of a vehicle from Cobble Motors at 727 W. Main St.

The theft, according to a report filed by GPD officer Kenni Carter, occurred on Thursday. A 1998 Honda Civic valued at $5,200 reportedly was stolen from the lot.

The business was broken into sometime overnight, and someone took the keys to the vehicle and a temporary tag, according to the report.

On Friday, sheriff's deputies notified the GPD to report that the Tennessee Highway Patrol had the vehicle and suspect in custody, according to the report. The suspect was not named.
