Greeneville travelled to Rogersville Wednesday afternoon and came home with a conference bowling sweep of the Cherokee Chiefs.
Greeneville's boys started off really well, rolling an 1121 and taking an 8-0 lead. Justin Miller rolled a season high 256, while Scott Eriksen came in with a 211.
The second game saw the Greene Devils stretch their lead to 15-1 with the assistance of James Ricker's 213 and Ethan Jones' 199.
The final game saw Greeneville only take four additional points to close out the 23-4 win and push their overall record to 9-1. Jeff Cogburn and Dylan Jones paced Greeneville with a 158 each.
The girls' match was a very intense match that saw both teams have some impressive moments. Game one saw the Chiefs take an early 6-2 lead, but they would only carry a six pin advantage into the second game (788-782). Jennifer Waldroupe paced Greeneville with a 167.
The second game saw Greeneville take a 9-7 lead by virtue of five individual points and a 148 pin victory. Waldroupe once again led the Lady Devils with a 196.
Game three saw both teams take a split of the individual points, while Cherokee would bring home the two team points, tying the match up at 12 points each. Waldroupe and Summer Garber were laeding bowlers for the Lady Devils, while Stephanie Tate rolled an impressive 233 for the Lady Chiefs.
The final decision would come down to the final team series. Greeneville would gain the three points to take the 15-12 win by virtue of a 2355 - 2281 advantage.
Greeneville will travel to Pigeon Forge on Thursday to take on Seymour.
