Greeneville and Chuckey-Doak got together Tuesday afternoon at Olympia Lanes and the Greene Devils came away with two important conference bowling victories.

Greeneville's boys began the match with a 936, while taking a 6-2 lead. Justin Miller (204) and Jeff Cogburn (177) paced the Devils while Eric Roberts (188) led Chuckey-Doak.

The second game saw Greeneville stretch their lead to 12-4 with Andrew Miller leading the way rolling a 164. The final game saw the Greene Devils roll a 987 and close out the match with a 22-5 win. James Ricker (208), Justin Miller (207), and Dylan Walsh (194) paced Greeneville, while Tyler Bright came in with a 158 for the Black Knights.

With the win, Greeneville stays atop the conference standings at 7-1, while Chuckey-Doak falls to 2-8.

The girls' match featured the top two teams in the conference and saw two competitive teams battle to the end.

Game one had the Lady Devils jump out to a 6-2 lead, outshooting the Lady Knights 893 - 808. Jennifer Waldroupe (166), Tammy Knapp (156), Taylor Fox (153), and Lydia Cogburn (151) paced Greeneville, while Courtney Tweed (177) and Brianna Russell (162) were leading bowlers for Chuckey Doak.

The second game saw both teams split the six individual points, but Greeneville would extend their lead to 11-5 by virtue of a 837 - 778 advantage. Summer Garber (159) and Brittany Hensley (156) headed up the Greeneville attack, while Chuckey Doak was led by Courtney Tweed with a 156.

The third game saw the Lady Devils pull away and take a convincing 21 - 6 win.

The Lady Devils continue to lead the girls' side of the conference standings at 7-1, while Chuckey Doak sits in second at 7-3.

Greeneville continues a busy part of their schedule as they travel to Rogersville on Wednesady afternoon to take on the Cherokee Chiefs.
