The No. 22 Carson-Newman men's soccer team scored a pair of second half goals against Tusculum on Wednesday night to rally past the Pioneers for a 2-1 victory in South Atlantic Conference play on senior night at Pioneer Field.
Jordan Moore allowed one goal and made nine saves for Carson-Newman (11-3-1, 6-1 SAC) in the match while Tusculum's Lance Moore stopped seven attempts on goal in his final regular season contest at Pioneer Field.
Tusculum (8-5-1, 4-3 SAC) opened the scoring mid way through the 17th minute when Andres Jarquin fed a through ball into senior Anteneh Lemma, who then delivered a curling strike from 27 yards out to give the Pioneers an early 1-0 lead with his seventh goal of the season.
The Eagles scored a pair in the second half to steal the win.
Tusculum returns to the pitch on Saturday when the Pioneers travel to Lenoir-Rhyne.
