A Greene County man was arrested Tuesday and charged with stealing handcuffs and evading arrest on June 26.
According to a report by Deputy Michael Macdonald, the man, Douglas Michael Brown, 25, of 42 Gravelwoods Road, "slipped out of" his handcuffs while being arrested for violation of probation. Brown then fled on foot, taking the handcuffs with him.
He was charged with theft of the handcuffs, in addition to the probation and evading arrest charges.
