A Mosheim man told Greeneville police early today that he had been stabbed in both knees by a man he didn't know during an argument on Pearl Street.
According to a report filed by GPD Officer Louis Calobrisi, a witness told police that Bobby Gene Fillers, 29, of Dulaney Road, was stabbed by one of three men with whom he had gotten into an argument on Pearl Street just before 1 a.m. today.
He was taken by a friend to Takoma Hospital for treatment and police were summoned there, according to the report.
Fillers had initially told police that he had also been both stabbed and shot, but an emergency room physician at the hospital told police that he saw no evidence of a gunshot wound.
An investigation is continuing.
