Employees of GRC Construction Services, of Kingsport, were working on Wednesday on the foundation for the new Baileyton United Methodist Church. The concrete "footers" on which the church will rest have been poured. A company spokesman said installation of concrete blocks is scheduled to begin next week. Completion of the new building, which will include a sanctuary, a classroom addition and a fellowship hall, is expected by late December. The former church building was destroyed by fire in November 2007.
