The local JCPenney store has been honored as one of the company's best-performing stores.
Myron E. "Mike" Ullman III, JCPenney's chairman and CEO, announced on May 1 at a national company banquet in Dallas that the Greeneville store, whose manager is Kathy Martin, was one of only two JCPenney stores in Tennessee to achieve that recognition.
The Greeneville store was one of 74 of the company's 1,101 stores judged to have "significantly raised the bar on financial performance, customer service, innovation or overall support to the company's business."
The local JCPenney store is in the Greeneville Commons.
