A Bulls Gap man was charged early Monday with DUI (2nd offense) and leaving the scene of a 1:52 a.m. traffic accident in the 15000 block of the West Andrew Johnson Highway.
Deputy Sheriff Michelle Holt said she charged Robert Lynn Murdock, 38, of 16130 West Andrew Johnson Highway, Bulls Gap, after he was located at the County Line Bar on the West Andrew Johnson Highway.
Holt said Murdock had left the scene of an accident in which he had lost control of a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that overturned in the road.
When firefighters from the Town of Mosheim Fire Department and Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services personnel reached the accident, no one was with the overturned truck.
Murdock complained of shoulder and head pain but did not require transportation to a hospital, Deputy Holt said.
Bond for Murdock was set at $3,000. He was scheduled to make an initial appearance on Monday in General Sessions Court.
