On Sunday night, an employee of West Main Recycling told GPD Officer Gina Holt that between 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. someone broke a rear window from the business, entered and stole $300 in cash from the register.

The report noted that the building's electric meter had been removed from its base. Damage to the building was estimated at $225, the report said.

Two other police reports said New Attitude Fitness, at 40 Benbow Road, was twice the victim of thieves over the weekend.

A report filed at 10:08 p.m. Saturday, by GPD Officer Gina Holt said the owner of the business told her she had stopped by the business to check on it and had found a white pickup truck occupied by one man parked beside the building.

When the owner went inside, the report said, she encountered a second man, who fled.

After the suspect fled, according to the report, the owner found that two 19-inch TV sets had been stolen from their wall mounts. The owner also found that a quantity of loose change had been taken from the cash register.

The loss was estimated at $510 and damage to a side door was estimated at $50.

Another police report, filed at 7:22 a.m. on Saturday, by GPD Sgt. Steve Spano said an employee of New Attitude Fitness told police that overnight someone stole a park bench, a 20-foot extension ladder and a propane tank from outside the business.

The loss was estimated at $440.
