Numerous DUI Arrests Made

Greeneville and Greene County officers were busy over the Super Bowl weekend making arrests for alleged driving while intoxicated.

Among those charged with DUI were:

* Donald E. Fox, 25, of 925 Bold Road, who was charged with DUI about 2 a.m. Sunday by GPD Officer Billy Christy after the officer reportedly saw Fox make an illegal turn from Industrial Road onto the East Andrew Johnson Highway.

Bond for Fox was set at $2,000. He was scheduled to appear in today General Sessions Court.

* Anthony Evan Stone, 35, of 662 Old Snapps Ferry Road, was charged with DUI about 12:55 a.m. Sunday by GPD Officer Kenni Carter after a traffic stop for speeding.

Bond for Stone was set at $1,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.

* Tony M. Anderson, 29, of 216 Hugh Story Road, Limestone, was charged with DUI about 8:20 p.m. Saturday by Deputy Sheriff Chuck Humphreys after a traffic stop for a light law violation on Quillen Shell Road.

Bond for Anderson was set at $1,500. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.

* Santiago M. Salvador, 34, of Carson Street, Greeneville, who was charged Sunday by Deputy Sheriff Chuck Humphreys with DUI, violating the implied consent law and driving without a license after a traffic stop for erratic driving on Industrial Road.

Bond for Salvador was set at $3,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.

* Curtis E. Varney, 24, of 2709 Buckingham Road, was charged with DUI (2nd offense) on Sunday by Deputy Sheriff Chuck Humphreys after officers responding to a report of a domestic disturbance stopped his vehicle as it left the disturbance scene.

Bond for Varney was set at $2,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
