An East Bernard Avenue woman was taken to Laughlin Memorial
Hospital following a 12:20 p.m. Monday two-vehicle collision on East Church Street at Bayberry
Street.
A report filed by GPD Officer Jeff Craft indicated that the collision took place when
a 1992 Buick driven by Bobby Glen Ricker, 67, of East Grove Street, pulled into the path of 1999
Ford F-150 pickup that was being driven east on East Church Street by Eunice Hamilton, 34, of East
Bernard Avenue.
The report said that after the two vehicles collided, the pickup truck went
off the left side of the road and struck head-on a tree in the front yard of a residence at 513 East
Church Street.
Hamilton was injured in the collision and was transported by a Greene
County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Laughlin Memorial Hospital, according to
the report.
Ricker escaped injury, the report said.
Visibility for drivers at the
intersection of Bayberry Street and East Church Street is "low" according to the police
report.
