Several novels by Cameron Judd, a Greene County-based author, are being reprinted in new, double-novel editions by New York-based St. Martin's Press, one of the world's largest publishing firms.
The first of the new editions, which are in paperback mass market format and feature two novels packaged under one cover, went on sale in July across the United States, including Judd's western titles "Snow Sky" and "Corrigan."
Similar editions featuring other titles will be issued into 2009, Judd said, with at least eight of Judd's novels being brought back into print through the reprint program.
"I'm very happy to see these novels coming back into the market," Judd said. "These are some of my traditional western novels, which many readers have told me they enjoy. And this is a very cost-effective format in which to buy novels."
Judd noted some of the titles being brought back have not been in print for about a decade, so he is optimistic of gaining new readers.
The editor on the project is Marc Resnick, whom Judd worked with in the 1990s when the novels were being published in their first St. Martin's Press editions.
St. Martin's Press is headquartered in the famous Flatiron Building in New York City.
