The Greeneville Farmers' Market will hold its annual Farmers' Market Jamboree on Saturday, July 19 from 8 a.m. to noon.
The Farmers' Market is located at Walters State College on North College Street next to the Big Spring in downtown Greeneville. Everyone is invited to help celebrate our local farmers and artisans.
The Jamboree will include live music, food, a petting zoo and games for children.
Everyone attending will have the chance to win a basket full of vegetables from the farmers. Festivities will also include the popular hog-calling contest with cash prizes for adults and children.
Sponsored by Rural Resources and Main Street: Greeneville, the Greeneville Farmers' Market provides an outlet for more than 40 local farmers and artisans to increase their income by serving our community.
The local community benefits by having a gathering place where fresh, local foods are available twice a week.
Open Saturdays, Tuesdays
The Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon and every Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. from May through October.
Local farmers and artisans are encouraged to join the market. There is an annual membership fee of $10 and weekly rent fee of $3.
