The Mission Soup Kitchen, at 715 Wesley Avenue, currently receives support from five churches and is looking for further support from the community, according to Carolyn Akins, founder of the soup kitchen.
The soup kitchen will host an open house for the public and accept donations on Wednesday, July 9, from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.
