A U.S. Marine and a Tennessee Army National Guardsman recently returned from duty in Iraq and Kuwait will be honored during a cookout at Hardin Park's Rotary Pavilion from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 16.
U.S. Marine Cpl. Thomas Roberts, son of Rex Roberts, of Greeneville, and Linda Hopkins, of Washington County, recently returned home after a tour of duty in Iraq.
Tennessee Army National Guard Specialist Michael Peck returned home Tuesday after a tour of duty in Kuwait. He is the son of Ray and Mary Ann Tanner, of Greeneville, and the husband of the former Veronica Roberts, of Washington County.
All Roberts' and Pecks' friends and relatives are invited to attend the Friday, May 16, cookout in their honor.
