Today's meeting of the Greene County Commission's Budget & Finance Committee has been postponed for a week, because County Trustee Dan Walker was badly injured on Monday.

A spokesperson for County Mayor Alan Broyles said several elected officials who normally would have attended the committee meeting traveled instead to Winston-Salem, N.C., on Tuesday, where Walker is undergoing treatment for burns. Others planned to go today, the spokesperson said.

The meeting, which will focus on contributions to non-profit agencies, has been reset for May 21 at 10 a.m. in the conference room of the county office annex.
