A Greeneville woman was charged by police on Monday with being intoxicated in General Sessions Court.

An arrest warrant filed by GPD Officer Eddie Short charged Karen Michelle Pearson, 41, with public intoxication. The warrant indicated that Pearson was charged after Officer Short noticed her apparently falling asleep and nearly falling from her courtroom seat on several occasions.

Bond for Pearson was set at $300. She was scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on the public intoxication charge on May 14.
