MORRISTOWN -- Greeneville's Lady Devils were eliminated in the District 2-AAA softball tournament Friday night as Cherokee posted an 11-1 victory.
Winning pitcher Whitney Gilbert limited the Lady Devils to four hits, a double by Kara Woolsey and singles by Haley Anderson, Jaclyn Dixon and Courtney Shipley.
The Chiefs plated four runs in the first inning to take the lead they wouldn't relinquish. Savannah Ewing led the Chiefs at the plate with three hits, including a home run.
