A burglar, or burglars, on Friday morning stole property valued at more than $7,200 from a Wheeler Road residence, according to the Greene County Sheriff's Department.
A report filed by Sheriff's Sgt. Glenna Estepp said the property owner told officers that someone had broken into the residence between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Sgt. Estepp's report said the missing items included a wallet, two gasoline cards, a $100 bill, a men's gold and diamond ring valued at $4,000, X-Box and PlayStation video game players, 100 DVD movies valued at $2,000, a .32-cal. revolver, two 12-gauge shotguns, blank checks and prescription medication.
In addition, according to the report, an interior wall of the residence also sustained about $100 in damage.
The total loss was estimated at $7,262.
