Source: The Greeneville Sun An event is scheduled for noon Thursday, May 1, in
front of the Greene County Courthouse in observance of the National Day of
Prayer. A proclamation designating the National Day of Prayer will be
read by Greene County Mayor Alan Broyles, according to the Rev. Larrie Pike, the event's
organizer. Greeneville Mayor Darrell Bryan also will speak. The music
will led by Dr. John Rogers and his wife, Jan. In addition to the
courthouse event, several local schools will observe the National Day of Prayer by gathering before
school hours to pray at their schools' flagpoles, Pike said. For more
