A woman was injured Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on White House Road near Curtis Street.
A report filed by GPD Sgt. Steve Spano said the wreck took place when Kasey T. Shelton, 18, of Ebeneezer Loop, Chuckey, lost control of the 1995 Ford Explorer she was driving north on White House Road.
The police report said the Explorer went out of control in a sharp curve, left the road, struck an embankment, overturned and came to rest on its wheels.
Shelton escaped injury, according to the report, but her passenger, Lora L. Davis, 42, of S. Saylor Road, Greeneville, was injured and was transported by a Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
