Two people were injured in three-vehicle wreck Monday night at the intersection of the East Andrew Johnson Highway and the entrance to the access road that leads to the Ryans and Waffle House restaurants.
A report filed by GPD Officer Stacey Hobbs said the collision took place at 9:36 p.m. when a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Marci E. Moore, 19, of Parrottsville, attempted to cross the westbound lanes of the East Andrew Johnson Highway to reach the restaurant access road.
Moore reportedly pulled across the path of a westbound 1996 Nissan Altima driven by Joseph E. Fann, 22, of Baileyton Road, Afton.
Upon the initial collision, the Ford pickup truck driven by Moore also struck a 1987 Nissan Maxima driven by Paul M. Officer, 25, of Old Stage Road, that had been stopped at a red light on the restaurant access road, according to the report.
Moore, according to the report, was taken by private vehicle to Laughlin Memorial Hospital, while Fann's passenger, Natasha Fann, 19, was taken by a Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services ambulance to the same hospital.
Joseph Fann and Officer were not injured, according to police.
