The victim, Martin J. Cozik, 56, of 1600 70 Bypass, was taken by a Greeneville County Emergency Medical Services ambulance to a waiting Wings Air Rescue helicopter, which flew him to the Johnson City Medical Center. Cozik was listed in serious condition at the Johnson City Medical Center. Although no one apparently saw him fall, a witness found Cozik lying on the ground behind the apartment building in which he lived, the report said. Police, according to the report, found the door of Cozik's apartment ajar but found nothing "out of place" inside the apartment.
