(Last modified: 2009-07-08 10:35:38) Source: The Greeneville Sun The second round of competition for the 46th Girls' Tennessee Junior Amateur Golf Championship is in the books, and today's final round at Link Hills Country Club looks to be exciting with several players in contention for the title. When the state's top junior females took to the links this morning, Taylor Manning of Brentwood held the lead after stealing the spotlight on Tuesday with a second round score of 70 to giver her a 36-hole total of 146. That gave her a one-shot lead over Ashley Haggard of Savannah, who posted the best round of the day Tuesday with a score of 69 and heads into the final 18 holes with a score of 147. Two more players are another shot back at 148. Alex Jasper of Clarksville and Savanna Schubert of Oak Ridge each fired a 75 on Tuesday. Still in the thick of the fight today are Haley Cothran of Soddy Daisy and Samantha Gotcher of Clarksville who stand at 149 entering the final 18 holes. Greeneville's Kaitlyn Hutcherson bettered her first day score after posting a 79 on Tuesday and is at 160. Paige Ramsey also had a round five shots better than her opening score, shooting an 81 Tuesday to stand at 167. Ashley Morris shot 90 Tuesday and is at 174. Alexandra Farnsworth of Nashville took the lead for a second day in the 10-14 year old division with a collective score of 75 (37,38).
