An Afton man was killed early Saturday when the motorcycle he was riding struck the rear of a van on Interstate 95 in Dillon County, S.C. Authorities identified the victim as William David Hope, Jr., 26, of Daniels Lane, Afton. Lance Corporal Sonny Collins, a spokesman for the South Carolina Highway Patrol, said this morning that the fatal accident took place near mile marker 184 in the southbound lanes on Interstate 95 in Dillon County, S.C., shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday. The accident involved a Suzuki motorcycle that apparently overtook and struck the rear of a southbound van and resulted in fatal injuries to the motorcycle's rider, Collin said.
