(Last modified: 2008-12-20 00:15:32) Source: The Greeneville Sun A Friday morning two-vehicle collision on Oasis Road injured two people. The 11:43 a.m. collision occurred on Oasis Road about three-tenths of a mile west of the West Andrew Johnson Highway, according to a report by Sheriff's Sgt. Terry Rader. Thomas Bentley, 25, of the West Andrew Johnson Highway, Bulls Gap, lost control of the 1988 Ford Mustang he was driving north on Oasis Road, the report said. After Bentley lost control, the car skidded across the centerline of the roadway and struck a southbound 2006 Mazda MPV van driven by Brenna S. Bennett, 59, of Doak Drive. Bentley was transported by a Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Takoma Regional Hospital after the collision. Also injured was Bennett's passenger, Kelly Ford, 32, of Wisecarver Road, the report said. Neither Bennett nor another passenger Natalie Ford, waswas injured in the crash, and Kelly Ford did not require transportation to a hospital, according to the report.
