Tusculum College's Simon Holzapfel has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Holzapfel, a sophomore from Nuremberg, Germany, finished first at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. Holzapfel established a school record time of 26:20.05 on the 8K course. It was his second individual win this season and fourth of his young career. Holzapfel won the Tusculum Invitational to open this year and was the top finisher at last year's UVa-Wise Open and the Maryville Invitational. He also owns the top three 8K times in school history. Tusculum returns to action on Oct. 17 when they compete at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C.
