A stolen dual-wheeled pickup truck believed used in a Sunday night burglary of the Shiloh Market on Jearoldstown Road was found parked behind a Mosheim business on Monday morning.

A report filed by Deputy Sheriff Michael Jones on Monday said the 1990 Ford dual-wheeled pickup was parked behind the Dollar General store in Mosheim.

Found in the truck's cab and in a trash container beside which the vehicle was parked were a quantity of lottery tickets, according to the report.

A pickup truck matching the description of the one recovered in Mosheim on Monday was used to smash through the front wall of the Shiloh Market near Interstate 81's Exit 44 on Sunday night.

In that incident, burglars stole 15 rolls of lottery tickets after backing a dual-wheeled pickup truck through the front wall of the market, according to a report filed about 11:40 p.m. Sunday by Deputy Sheriff Adam Arrington.

The truck penetrated "all the way to the other side of the store building," according to the report. Also taken was a cash register drawer, which contained only a small amount of money, according to the report.

Damage to the building and merchandise inside it was estimated at more than $6,500.

The truck recovered on Monday morning was released to its owner, according to Deputy Jones' report.
