Fourteen people, including seven juveniles, were charged with alcohol-related offenses after sheriff's deputies went to a Snapps Ferry Road residence in response to a report that a large number of youths were consuming alcohol there.

Deputy Sheriff Chuck Humphreys said Deputy Michelle Holt and other deputies responded to 5925 Snapps Ferry Road around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, where they found seven juveniles, six young adults between the ages of 18 and 20, and one 27-year-old man along with a "large amount" of alcohol.

The seven juveniles and the six 18-to-20-year-olds were charged with consuming under age 21, according to arrest reports.

Charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor was Aaron Britt Coppehaver, 27, of 115 Crossover Drive.

The adults were scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court, while the juveniles were to appear later in Greene County Juvenile Court.

Deputy Humphreys said the arrests followed an early morning traffic stop in which Deputy Holt charged Richard Tilman Jones 22, of Pates Hill Road, Mosheim, with DUI and driving on a revoked license.

Deputy Humphreys said a passenger in Jones' vehicle told officers that he and Jones had come from a party on Snapps Ferry Road in which juveniles were drinking alcohol.

Jones was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
