The United Prayer Fellowship and participating members of the senior classes of the five public high schools will present the 16th annual "Countywide Baccalaureate Celebration" at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4.

Nationally-known speaker Reggie Dabbs of Fort Myers, Fla., who has Greeneville ties and has become a familiar figure among local young people in recent years, will be the guest speaker.

The baccalaureate will be held at Pioneer Arena on the campus of Tusculum College.

The event is privately sponsored, participation is entirely voluntary, and there is no charge, a spokesman said.

All interested persons -- students and others of all ages, but especially graduating seniors -- are cordially invited to attend, the spokesman emphasized.

The baccalaureate is made possible though the support of many churches, Ruritan Clubs and individuals.

Music for the event will be provided by 40 Days Strong, a local Christian band.
