(Last modified: 2008-05-01 12:14:33) Source: The Greeneville Sun The Greene County Tennis Center is once again hosting the District 1 A/AA Tennis Tournament, which began this morning and will continue through Friday afternoon. All four Greene County schools will play in this tournament along with teams from Unicoi County, Johnson County, Sullivan North and Elizabethton. In girls singles, the top four seeds, in order, are Kelby Marston of Unicoi County, Rachel Pulliam of South Greene, Lacey Harris of Unicoi County and Brittni Thacker of Elizabethton. The top four seeded girls' doubles teams, in order, are Jessica Brumit and Janey Robinson of Elizabethton, Corlette Murphy and Christy Johnson of Chuckey-Doak, Caitlin Dean and Courtney Dean of West Greene, and Nikki Weems and Sybrina Medcalf of North Greene. In boys singles, the top four seeds are Wade Tugman of Johnson County, Caleb Pate of Unicoi County, Heath Smith of South Greene and Jonathan Kenney of Unicoi County. The top four seeds in boys' doubles are Chris Brumit and Ricky Jones of Elizabethton, Matt Goins and Mikey Hall of Sullivan North, Corey Jenkins and James Durham of Chuckey-Doak, and Matt Bowman and Corey Ottinger of Chuckey-Doak.
