Mary Margaret Ross Died: June 28, 2008 ROGERSVILLE -- Mary Margaret Ketron Ross, of Rogersville, died Saturday at her home. She was born Dec. 14, 1923, and was a daughter of the late Grace (Bradley) and Joseph Henry Ketron. Mrs. Ross was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church in Kingsport and Rogersville First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Clyde Homer Ross, who died Dec. 10, 1996. He was the 50-year owner operator of Ross Truck & Implement Co. in Rogersville. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Julia (Ross) and Bill Pearson and Betsy (Ross) and Rocky Clevinger, all of Rogersville, Charles Clyde and Angela Ross of Roswell, Ga., and Jane (Ross) and Porter Strevel of Knoxville; her grandchildren and their spouses: Beth Strickland-Moran and her husband, Paul, Amy (Ross) Terry, Cindy (Clevinger) and Jeff Mullins, Samuel Drinnon Ross, and Madison Jane Ross; a great-grandson: Tanner Ross Strickland; a sister: Helen Ketron Poole of Greeneville; and three nieces: Kathryn Poole Jackson, Jennifer Jacobs Golder, Mary Susan Jacobs. She was preceded in death by sister, Betty Ketron Jacobs. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Carl Jones and the Rev. John McPheron will officiate. A committal service will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rogersville First UM Church Retirement Fund, 110 Colonial Road, Rogersville, TN 37857; to the Hawkins County Rescue Squad, McKinney Ave., Rogersville, TN 37857; or a charity of the donor's choice.
