Josephine Still

Died: April 29, 2008

Josephine Still, 105, died Tuesday at Life Care Center of Collegedale, where she had been a resident for 22 years.

Born in Greeneville, she was the last surviving child of the late Nathan and Eliza Still.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Tom Still, Hubert Still, and Carl Still; and her sisters: Bess Still, Claudia Still, and Glenna Still Cannon, with whom she made her home in Cleveland for a number of years.

Survivors include a niece: Jeane Casson of Ooltewah; a nephew: Ernest Joe Cannon of Cleveland; and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews of Greeneville and Cleveland.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, North Ocoee Chapel in Cleveland.

A remembrance of life graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland. Dr. Jay McCluskey will officiate.
