Linda Ann Giles

Died: April 28, 2008

Linda Ann Kite Giles, 56, of Mohawk, died Monday at her home.

Mrs. Giles was of the Baptist tradition of faith.

"She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend," her family noted.

Mrs. Giles is survived by her husband: Ellwood Giles of Mohawk; three sons and daughters-in-law: Joe and Kimberly Combs of Mohawk, John and Sharyn Combs of Talbott, and Carroll and Brandy Combs of Mosheim; one stepson: Steve Giles of Indiana; 10 grandchildren: Tiffany Combs of Mohawk, Tanner Laster of Bulls Gap, Makenzie Combs of Mosheim, Jonathon Combs of Bulls Gap, Hunter Combs and Ashlyn Combs, both of Mohawk, Caroline Combs of Mosheim, Willow Combs of Talbott, and Dwight Giles and Kayla Giles, both of Indiana; one sister and brother-in-law: Geneva and Donnie Moyers of Mohawk; three brothers and sisters-in-law: David and Beverly Kite of Mohawk, Jerry and Carolyn Kite of Bulls Gap, and Harold and Renee Kite of Mohawk; several nieces and nephews; and "many" special friends.

She had a special dog, "Haley Bug."

Mrs. Giles was a daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Kite.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today and Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Buster Shelton and the Rev. Dennis Alder will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Bibles Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Rodney Kite, Mark Lawson, Shawn Moyers, Freddie Evans, Conley Kite and Tommy Moyers.
