Died: March 17, 2010
Link Renner, 79, of Airport Road, Greeneville, died Wednesday at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Renner retired from Lear-Siegler of Morristown.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Betty Renner; two daughters: Judy Renner and Teresa Ann Renner; one son: Billy Renner; a daughter-in-law: Deborah Renner; four special grandchildren and their spouses: Link Edward and Deedra Renner, Tammy and Tracy Johnson, Chastity Johnson, and Billy "BJ" Renner II; 11 great-grandchildren; five sisters: Beatrice Church, Leo Cureton, Doris Arwood, and Maude Franklin, all of Greene County, and Stella Cutshaw of Dallas, Texas; his special friends: Keith McCray, Roy Myers, Andy Speers, Riley Cutshall, Roger Violette, and Sam Schuyler; two special "little friends": Alley Cutshall and Chelsea Harr; and two special friends of the family: Don Copley, Teresa Ann Renner's fiancé, and Alicia Holland, Billy Renner's fiancée.
He was preceded in death by a son, Herbert "Herby" Renner.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today and Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Buster Shelton and the Rev. Eddie Malone will officiate.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Tusculum.
Pallbearers will be Roy Myers, Andy Speers, Riley Cutshall, Scott Greer, Scotty Greer, and Jack Beach.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Montgomery and the doctors and staff of the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) at JCMC.
