Gaither Burgess Hensley

Died: March 18, 2010

Gaither Burgess Hensley, 76, of Kingsport, died Thursday at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.

He was a son of the late Logan and Anna Mae Hensley.

Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law: Sam and Shirley Hensley and Joe and Judy Hensley, all of Rogersville, and Billy and Curtis Hensley of Fremont, Ohio; two sisters: Evelyn Rollins of Parkers Lake, Ky., and Goldie and Amos Rollins of Bronson, Ky.; a sister-in-law: Mildred Hensley of Port Clinton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a number of special friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Hensley; and two sisters: Patricia Hensley and June Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Pete Smith will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 1:30 Sunday afternoon in Shelton Mission Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 12:30 to travel in procession to the cemetery.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.
