Mae I. Thompson, 60, of Dellwood Circle, Greeneville, died Thursday afternoon at Durham-Hensley Care and Rehabilitation Center in Chuckey.
Mrs. Thompson retired from Philips Consumer Electronics Co. (Magnavox).
She was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include her husband: Ralph Thompson; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jason Baines and David and Becky Thompson; a daughter: Angela Bell; two special grandsons: Elijah Bell and Ryan Thompson; a brother and sister in law: Roger and Doris Pleasant; a sister-in-law: Nancy Shelton; her mother-in-law: Dorothy Thompson; her father-in-law and his wife: Edward and Anne Thompson; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her special friends: Max Womac, Gary Hartman, and Michael Southerland.
She had a special dog, "Scooby."
She was a daughter of the late Roy and Lola Pleasant and was preceded in death by an infant brother, Roy Pleasant Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dewayne Gray and the Rev. Ralph Dingus will officiate.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Max Womac, Chris Seay, Gary Hartman, Joe Armstrong, Jim Massey, Howard Dowell, Bobby Matthews, and James Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be E.C. "Jack" Waddell, Gary Burgner, and Walter Armstrong.
