James Lavern Nance

BULLS GAP -- James Lavern Nance, 76, of Bulls Gap, died Wednesday at Signature HealthCARE of Greeneville.
"He went to be with the Lord," his family stated.
Mr. Nance was a member of Philippi Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law: Alva Leroy and Leone Nance, Clarence and Sally Nance, Virgil and Joyce Nance, Marvin Nance, Delmus and Louise Nance, Cletus and Nancy Nance, Roger and Jean Nance, and Darrell and Annette Nance; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and special nephew: Maria Moore and Marlin Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James S. and Mabel L. Nance; a brother: Carvel Nance; and a sister: Eva Nance.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bulls Gap Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Philippi Missionary Baptist Church with interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Scott Bradley and the Rev. Walter Moore will officiate.
