Lola Massey Jaynes, 88, of S.T. Wilhoit Drive in the Sunnyside Community, Greeneville,
died Friday at Takoma Regional Hospital.
She was a member of Asbury
United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one sister: Edith
Haney of Limestone; two sisters-in-law: Sylvia James of Kingsport and Elizabeth Massey of
Greeneville; one brother-in-
law: Riley Huff of Greeneville; 15 nieces: Gwen Gray and Reave Love, both of New Mexico; Lynnis
Brown and Marilyn Zimowski, both of Georgia; Jeanne Dobes of Michigan; Lynn Cummins of Ohio; Athlyn
Morgan, Beverley Shelton, Michelle Crum, Becki McInturff, Marie Ricker and Christine Roberts, all of
Greeneville; Regina Nuckols of Chuckey; Angela Huff of Afton; and Rebecca Ann Prillaman of
Kingsport; nine nephews: Edwin Haney of Limestone, Tim Massey of Afton, Hank Huff of Mosheim, Winson
"Buddy" Massey, Doug Finchum, David Finchum and Joe Jaynes, all of Greeneville; Marty Jaynes of
Kingsport, and Hugh Jaynes of Knoxville; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including a special
great-niece and great-nephew: Aubrey Crum and Alec Crum; and her special friends: Patricia Adams of
Chattanooga and Patsy Crum of Greeneville.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, the Rev. James D. Jaynes; her parents, T.J. and Flora Lamons Massey; two brothers,
Eldridge Massey and Winson Massey; and three sisters: Cona Sauls, Geneva Huff and Arlene Davis.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose
Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 7
p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
The Rev. Martha Beamer will
officiate.
A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at
GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tim Massey, Edwin
Haney, Hank Huff, Buddy Massey, Patrick Crum, David Shelton, Ronnie Ricker, and John Zimowski.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Odell and the staffs of
Morning Point and Signature Health Care.
Family and friends will meet
at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday to travel in procession to the cemetery.
