Timothy Lee Shortt, 54, of the Horse Creek community, died Wednesday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife: Jacqueline Shortt; one son: Matthew Shortt of Cedar Bluff, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law: Veronica and Brian Barnes of Cedar Bluff; three grandchildren: Tori Barnes, Marshall Barnes and Cody Barnes; three stepsons: Brad Gilbert, Tim Gilbert, and Charles Gilbert; one stepdaughter: Tammy Miller; seven stepgrandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Terry and Donna Shortt of Rock Hill, S.C.; and one sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Larry Milano of Hollywood, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Jeffers Funeral Chapel.
