Alden Tucker Nieboer, 47, died Thursday at her home in Nashville.
Born Dec. 6, 1961, she was a daughter of Barney Alden Tucker of Nashville and the late Shirley Kepler Tucker.
Mr. Tucker, a native of the Woodlawn Community of Greene County, now lives in Nashville after residing for many years in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Nieboer grew up in Lexington, where she graduated from the Sayre School.
She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in 1984 and a master of business administration degree from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management in 1986.
Her family said, "She was an elegant, witty, and kind person who will be greatly missed by her friends and family."
Survivors, in addition to her father, include: her husband: Scott Nieboer; and one son: Case Tucker, both of Nashville; one sister and brother-in-law: Alice-Anne (Tucker) and Anthony Birch of Bethesda, Md.; one special niece: Alexandra Rose and spouse of Boston; one special nephew: Tucker Birch and spouse of Charleston, S.C.; a special uncle: Kenneth Kepler of North Carolina; a special aunt: Nell Abernethy of Burlington, N.C.; and numerous cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Baileyton beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday. The funeral service will follow visitation at 2:30 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be at Price's Cemetery in the Romeo community.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, the University School of Nashville, or the breast cancer organization of the donor's choice.
