Charlie Douglas

ROGERSVILLE -- Charles Robert "Charlie" Douglas, 55, of Church Hill, died Sunday evening at Holston Manor.
His family stated, "He went to be with the Lord following a courageous battle with leukemia."
He is survived in Greeneville by a sister and her husband, Carolyn and Wesley Laughlin.
Mr. Douglas was of the Baptist tradition of faith.
He was an electrician.
Mr. Douglas was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
"He was a faithful caregiver for his parents, Donald L. Douglas of Church Hill and the late Rosa Lee Douglas," his family noted.
In addition to his father and a sister and brother-in-law, survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law: Don Douglas Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, of Gray, and Joshua Douglas of Church Hill; five sisters and their husbands: Gwendolyn Sims of Rogersville, Deloris and Gene Crawford and Charlotte and Jimmy Kistner of Sullivan Gardens, and Marie and Wallace Carter and Donna and Kenneth Gilliam of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville and other times at the home of Gwendolyn Sims.
A military graveside service will follow at 2 o'clock Wednesday in Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City. The Rev. Roy Lane will officiate.
The Hawkins County Color Guard and the Tennessee Army National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
