Edith D. Renner Davis, 88, West Main Street, Greeneville, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Scarlet and Chester Carmack in Livingston.
Mrs. Davis was a retired retail sales clerk and caregiver.
She was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose; the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 1990, and the former Greeneville Home Demonstration Club.
She was the widow of Lloyd Renner and Zanis Davis.
Survivors, in addition to her daughter and son-in-law, include a granddaughter: Stelisa Roberts of Livingston; her stepchildren and their spouses: Lanny Davis, Donnie and Jayne Ann Davis, and Vickie and Rex Solomon, all of Greeneville, and Steve and Ann Davis of Raleigh, N.C.; several stepgrandchildren; a brother-in-law: Robert Brooks of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews
She was a daughter of the late M.L. And Lenora Bird Darnell and was preceded in death by two sisters: Eula Knipp and Verta Brooks; and four brothers: Willis Darnell, Gay Darnell, Wayland Darnell, and Ivis Darnell.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Larry Moore and Dr. James R. McKinney will officiate.
Interment will follow in Solomon Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles Kinser, Fred Wilhoit, Curtis Wilhoit, W.C. Wilhoit, Dwight Renner, Gene Knipp, Adam Demille, Buford Shipley, and Teddy Reaves.
