William Larkin Thomas

William Larkin Thomas, 92, of Robin Hood Trail, died Monday at Takoma Regional Hospital.
Mr. Thomas was a farmer.
His family stated, "He made the best white liquor in town."
He was the widower of Ella Mae Thomas.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael Glen and Linda Thomas of Greeneville and Scottie and Tammy Thomas of Leicester, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law: Wanda K. and Bob Palmer of Minnesota; eight grandchildren, including: Billie Jo Thomas of Minnesota, Michael Glenn Thomas Jr. of Asheville, N.C., and Heather Jane Thomas of Henderson, N.C.; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister: Hazel Martin of Marshall, N.C.; several nieces and nephews, including Houston and Linda Thomas of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law: Mary Thomas and Anna Mae Thomas, both of North Carolina; and a special cousin: Johnny Payne.
He was a son of the late Joe Burben and Annie Thomas and was preceded in death by a son: Phillip Thomas; three brothers: Wyman Thomas, Lawrence Thomas, and Joe Thomas; and three sisters: Ethel Swafford, Ruth Miller, and Sara Gunter.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The funeral service will follow at 2 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. James Briggs will officiate.
Interment will be in the Thomas Family Cemetery.
